Our History
Alex Metals was established to consolidate and advance some of the most compelling silver-gold and copper-gold VMS prospects in Southeast Alaska’s Alexander Terrane, an underexplored district with a long but fragmented history of high-grade discoveries. Between 2023 and 2025, the Company assembled 100% ownership of three projects: Wodski, Frenchie, and KSO, each chosen for its strong geological signatures, historical workings that point to high-grade systems, and clear potential for modern discovery.
The KSO Property, which hosts the historic Khayyam and Stumble-On deposits, represents one of Southeast Alaska’s earliest documented VMS mining centers. The Khayyam and Stumble-On mines were developed and operated between 1901 and 1907, producing copper, gold, and silver from multiple massive sulfide lenses before closing due to market conditions and management challenges. Subsequent evaluations by the U.S. Bureau of Mines, Anaconda Copper, and multiple exploration companies through the late 20th century highlight long-standing recognition of the district’s mineral potential, yet no modern drilling has ever tested the system.
This historical foundation and broad technical dataset shaped Alex Metals’ strategy: to apply modern structural geology, advanced geophysics, and systematic VMS exploration methods to high-grade systems that were historically identified but never properly evaluated. The result is a portfolio of drill-ready projects in a Tier-1 U.S. jurisdiction with demonstrated VMS fertility, strong geophysical signatures, and extensive upside for discovery.
Today, Alex Metals is advancing these assets with a disciplined, modern exploration approach designed to unlock the next generation of silver, gold, copper, and zinc VMS discoveries in Southeast Alaska.
